2006 Syrah

The 2006 Syrah is a blend of two vineyards from the west side of Paso Robles. I feel that this syrah is a great example of what Paso Robles grapes can do. Harvested at the end of September and fermented in 40% new French Oak for fourteen days with multiple punch downs per day. The two vineyards named Hopkins and Starr blended well to create an overall excellent wine. Both Starr and Hopkins pride themselves for producing grapes of superior quality and implementing growing techniques that are both environmentally conscious and winemaker centered. The 2006 Syrah will be my first official wine released, set for June 2008.
